About

Emad Armoun

Software Engineer · Photographer · Creative Enthusiast

I’m Emad, an Iranian software engineer and creative enthusiast based in Berlin. EmArTx is my personal space for bringing together the different things I create — from software and photography to music and experimental side projects.

What is EmArTx?

EmArTx is where my different creative worlds come together.

The name combines Emad + Armoun + Art + Technologies, reflecting both who I am and what I love to create. It is my personal space for bringing together software, photography, music, and other creative experiments — a place where technology meets art, curiosity, and personal expression.

I created EmArTx not to represent a single profession or discipline, but to give all these interests a shared home.

Technology & Software

Building things with technology

My fascination with programming began in my teenage years. What drew me in was the feeling of creating something new from an idea — turning thoughts into something real, useful, and interactive.

Today, I work as a software engineer, primarily focused on frontend development and web technologies, while also exploring backend development and the broader world of software engineering. Years later, that original excitement is still there: I still enjoy building, experimenting, and watching an idea come to life through technology.

Photography

Finding the extraordinary in ordinary places

Photography, for me, is about discovery. I enjoy looking beyond the obvious and finding small details, patterns, colors, light, and moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. They can be anywhere — in nature, on a busy city street, inside an ordinary building, or even right beneath our feet.

What fascinates me most is how a photograph can isolate one small piece of the world and give it a new meaning. Sometimes, the most interesting subjects are hidden in the most ordinary places — waiting to be noticed.

Creative Interests

Creativity has always been part of my life, even when it isn’t part of my profession.

Music is one of my long-standing interests. I enjoy playing and experimenting with instruments such as piano, guitar, violin, and santur, mostly for the simple pleasure of learning, practicing, and making music.

I also occasionally explore graphic design, including posters, logos, and photo editing, as well as film criticism. In the past, I practiced Persian calligraphy too. I pursue all of these as personal interests rather than professional activities.

Beyond Work

I was born in Zarand, Kerman, Iran, and today I live in Berlin. I’ve always been drawn to both technology and art, eventually realizing that creativity is the common thread that connects them for me.

Beyond work and creative pursuits, I’m a father of three, and family is a central part of my life. Living between Iran and Germany, raising a family, and experiencing different cultures have all shaped the way I see life, creativity, and the world around me.
